Flash: Flash is an authoring software developed by Macromedia used to create graphics-based animation programs with full-screen navigation interfaces, graphic illustrations, and simple interactivity.*  Most browsers require the installation of a plug-in for viewing capability.  Check for your version of Flash currently installed on your computer here.

MoonEdit: Moon Edit - Cooperative multi-user text editing over the internet. Every co-author can edit the shared document at any time, from any place, and at the same time! mp3: Mp3 is a compressed audio file format which can be streamed from a website for instantaneouse playback.  The following files may be useful in working with mp3's: Jukebox is  a good free player and ripper for windows (ripping is creating mp3 from other audio formats) Audacity is an opsensource audio file editor and recorder.  With it you can convert wave files to mp3 as well as offering cut, paste and sound effect manipulation of files Lame is a free windows codec allowing recording programs such as Audacity to compile audio (typically wave files) into mp3 format

Powerpoint: Powerpoint is a presentation authoring software creating graphical presentations with or without audio.  A free viewer is available.

Skype: Skype is a free Voip (voice over internet protocol) solution, use requires the ability to record and playback audio.  The program and more information can be had at http://www.skype.com/.  Add ons such as the ability to call out and in to POTS (standard phone lines) and soft answering machines (SAM is an freeware example) make this a versatile method of synchronouse and asynchronous communication
