mp3: Mp3 is a compressed audio file format which can be streamed from a website for instantaneouse playback. The following files may be useful in working with mp3's: Jukebox is a good free player and ripper for windows (ripping is creating mp3 from other audio formats) Audacity is an opsensource audio file editor and recorder. With it you can convert wave files to mp3 as well as offering cut, paste and sound effect manipulation of files Lame is a free windows codec allowing recording programs such as Audacity to compile audio (typically wave files) into mp3 format
